The parking garage rooftop
Typically, we like to go somewhere pretty and green, maybe with flowers and the river for photo sessions. Sometimes, however, urban and edgy is the vibe for senior portraits or even couples! Jenna and I decided to go on the hunt for an awesome rooftop photo location. Remember, Jenna is our event planner, so she styled the photoshoot to compliment the surroundings we were looking for. She dressed in an all-black ensemble complete with immaculate red lips, to perfectly embody an "edgy" vibe.
As we made our way to the top of the parking garage, we were happy to find very few people out on that almost dry Sunday evening in March. We had 2 weeks of precipitation at that point, and we were happy to have a break in the weather, even though the temperature was still quite cool. The wind was blowing as usual for this time of year.
We parked the car just below the rooftop level as it was closed to vehicles. (The sign did not stop people from driving up there!) As we walked to the top level, the views were amazing. To my surprise, we could see the Boise Train Depot in the distance. I love photographing sessions at the Boise Train Depot. One must have image is having Capitol Building with downtown Boise and the foothills in the distance behind my subjects. It truly embodies all Boise has to offer. Seeing the depot from this vantage point was beautiful to me.
Getting cold!
The wind started to blow stronger, and the chill was getting to be a little too much, so we headed toward shelter, meaning the parking garage. We were not at a loss for great photo opportunities. Downtown Boise, elevators, and staircases should not and were not overlooked for this opportunity to created beautiful images!

Not only were we sheltered from the wind and cold, the parking garage also made for an awesome change of scenery. The concrete structure, metal pipes and fencing, paired with Jenna's edgy vibe Just works! Everything about it, including the light and shadows is "MUAH" (chef's kiss)!
